Joseph grew up in the Saxon Switzerland region, where he discovered his fascination for climbing and bouldering in his youth. He spent many hours on the local rocks as well as in climbing areas around the world. In his youth he competed in regional, national and international competitions and remained in the competition scene until the age of 22. With the founding of 'Kletterkultur' and his own climbing hold brand 'Bluepill', his focus has shifted more towards route setting.
With Community Climbing Equipment he wants to share his enthusiasm for climbing with others. He hopes to inspire and mentor the next generation of climbing enthusiasts through this initiative. Check out his CCE 'Scoops' line!
