Robert Zaghloul

Climbing has been a part of Robert's life from an early age.  Although he was initially active in competitions, it was the adventurous nature of outdoor bouldering that ultimately captivated him more than indoor climbing.

Years later, he returned to the gym as a youth coach and route setter. His training has significantly influenced the athletic paths of climbers such as Nicolai Užnik, Timo Užnik and Mattea Pötzi.

Robert has now been shaping for almost 15 years. His goal is to develop intelligent holds that are as challenging as possible and difficult to “cheat”,  all while using minimal material. For him, shaping is a meditative practice that allows him to bring his creative ideas to life.
